An empty wishing well,
For the darkness has consumed you
I am here now, accompanied by a torch.

A spark of light,
Burning bright by your cradle,
Inhale its lullabying scent
I leave a candle lit for you.

Drip by drip your nightmares melt,
Watch the flame consume waxy flesh
Leaving all but a light hungry for more.

Shadows of flickering lights perform,
Untamed flame, leaves you in a trance.
Dilated eyes gaze into the burning core.
I leave a candle lit for you.

Illuminance takes over your face.
A little flame begins to dance.
Gifting you with warmth.

Bathing in the light,
Melting wick simmers softly,
Whispering an unspoken prayer.
I leave a candle lit for you.

A tiny flame,
To show the way.
Travelling through your dreams.

Fire holding you close,
Melts away barbed wire rib cage.
Entering your pounding muscle.
I leave a candle lit for you.

Close your eyes,
Make a wish,
Let fireflies waltz in your core.

Ignited flame burning inside.
Wax seeps within the walls of your heart,
Forming a seal
I leave a candle lit for you.
