Where do I go?
Left or right?
College or work?
Into the sky –
Or into the dirt?
Someone show me a way
Or help me find the light,
I'm trapped in the darkness
Without any guide.
If not, guide me, I'd like a map
Find the road, the nooks and crannys and
Any other paths.
Or perhaps I'm meant to wander and find my own path.
What is it?
It's a secret
One I'll hopefully unwrap.
Wish me luck, and I hope
our paths cross again
soon.
Maybe by then, I'll have more paths to show you.

“Paths” is a poem I wrote inspired by my experiences of insecurity around what I should do with the rest of my life. Every time people ask me what I want to do, or what path I’m taking in life, I sometimes feel I can’t give them a complete answer and end up saying “we’ll see” or “I’m not sure yet, but I’m working on it.” However, I have hope that with whatever path I take in life, I can still have interesting experiences along the way. I’m excited for those experiences, as well as the chance to share my stories of those experiences with others.
