Mariam is pursuing a JD at the University of Windsor – Faculty of Law and has an Honours BA in Peace, Conflict and Justice Studies from the University of Toronto. Passionate about development and social justice, she knows that staying informed is an indispensable asset in today’s rapidly changing global community. Thus, she channels this passion into her writing in order to explore the connections between the Global North and South and the cyclical impact they have on one another. Mariam hopes to encourage her peers to pursue writing as a way to develop their own opinions and learn from each other as well. When she is not writing, Mariam makes an effort to explore her city and all it has to offer.
