Introducing Face to Face

For millennia, stories have been passed down from generation to generation and have connected people, inspired them, and taught them a thing or two about one another. Most importantly, stories have helped people find their voice and understand themselves and their life experiences in a different light.

Here at The Blank Page, we not only love storytelling, but we also love amplifying the voices of young storytellers. Over the past few years, we’ve been doing so by showcasing the stories of young writers around the world in our Arts and Life section. And as 2019 (and an entire decade) comes to a close, we’ve decided to wrap the year up the very way that we started it: by giving young storytellers the mic.

In our final online series, titled Face to Face, we’ve asked some of our most-skilled writers to interview a person they want to share with the world. From these interviews, our writers wove the most beautiful narratives- stories of pain, of travel, and of resilience. We’re honoured and humbled to have the chance to share these stories.

Ultimately, Face to Face has been an opportunity for our collaborators to rekindle connections with people in their lives and share them with us. With that being said, we’re hopeful that if this series inspires you to do one thing, it’s to reconnect with the people that have left a mark in your life.

Here’s to those people, and to the stories that preserve them.
