Bill Nye the Science Guy. The Magic School Bus. The Matrix. ASAP Science. Myth Busters. Any of these ring a bell? Perhaps these shows, movies, and Youtube videos were your first exposure to the world of science, or perhaps you were entranced by other science-themed things. Whatever it was, we’re sure that it taught you one thing for sure: that science is not just a subject in school, it can take any shape or form and exists in your everyday life.

We know that with your day-to-day events, science might be the last thing on your mind. But don’t you miss that sense of fascination and curiosity that you had when watching those science-themed shows and videos, or participating in those experiments in class? We do too.

That’s why, here at The Blank Page, we’ll be hosting a week-long science-themed event titled “Sense meets Science” that will make you fall in love with science all over again.

How will it work? Between October 24th and October 28, we’ll be sharing one human sense each day on our Facebook page. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to share a science-themed resource that’s relevant to the “sense of the day” in the comment section of that day’s post. For example, if the sense of the day is “Hear”, we’ll be asking you to share any science-related podcasts, videos, or other resources that you’ve listened to and recommend to fellow youth.

By the end of the event, we’ll be sharing all of your recommendations in an article compilation. Trust us: this is an event you won’t want to miss. It’ll be the perfect opportunity to learn, share, and communicate with other young people who are (or once were) as passionate about science as you are.
